The Striped Set — That Cost How Much?

The striped short set is pretty ubiquitous this season. You can thank AYR and their “staycation” sets for that. Does it look a little like pajamas? Maybe. But this is 2022 and the more excuses we have to wear loungewear out in public the better.

I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect under $250 set all summer, and I think this shirt (2.) and short (4.) from Abercrombie are it. Both pieces are flowy and oversized which keeps it a little more fashion forward and less ready for night-night. I’m envisioning mine as a swim cover-up with this textured bikini (8. + 9.) and pool-to-bar slides (6.). Accessories matter here; an on-trend straw bucket hat (1.), macrame tote (3.), rainbow beaded necklace (7.) and tortoise sunnies (5.) keep the look thoroughly grounded in daytime.
